Questions about installation and permits
Do I need a permit from the commune?
It depends on your commune's building regulations and the building's classification. In most cases a simple declaration is enough; protected buildings or sensitive zones need a permit. We check and prepare the file for you before ordering material.
What does Creos do and how long does it take?
Any installation above 800 W must be declared to the grid operator. We file the request on myCreos, Creos sets a pilot appointment and sends the connection contracts, then our electrician notifies the end of works via Smarty PRO. Creos inspects and installs the bidirectional meter within 30 days of approval. Allow 6 to 12 weeks in total depending on the season.
How long does the installation itself take?
Usually 3 working days for a house: mounting and modules, then inverter, battery and cabling, then connection, tests and clean-up. You keep your electricity during the works except for a short cut for the connection at the board.
